Privacy Policy

EZ Electronics is a family-run buyback and repair shop in Lima, Ohio. This page explains, in plain English, what we collect on this website and what we do with it. We do not sell your personal information.

What you give us on purpose

When you request a quote, book a drop-off, book a repair, or send us a device, you give us your name, phone number, email address, and details about your device. We use that to price your device, confirm your appointment, contact you about it, and keep a record of the transaction. Nothing more.

What we collect automatically

Like most websites, we record basic usage so we know what is working:

• Pages viewed, and which devices and repairs get looked up
• Steps completed in the quote tool (for example, whether someone saw a price but did not book)
• How you first reached us: a search engine, a Facebook post, a link we texted you, or typing the address directly
• General technical information your browser sends, such as approximate location by region and the type of device you are on

This is stored against a random, anonymous ID. It is not tied to your name unless you choose to submit a quote or booking.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies (and similar browser storage):

• Recognizing your return visit. An anonymous ID so we can show you your last quote instead of making you start over, and so we count one returning person rather than three strangers.
• Remembering how you found us. So we know which of our efforts actually bring in customers.
• Advertising. If we are running ads, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google may set cookies so we can show our ads to people who already visited, and so we can tell whether an ad led to a real booking.

The site works fine without cookies. If your browser blocks them, everything still functions. We simply will not recognize you on a return visit.

Opting out

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. You can also limit ad tracking directly with the platforms:

• Facebook and Instagram: Settings, then Ads preferences
• Google: adssettings.google.com

Who else sees your information

We share only what a service needs to do its job: our website host, our email provider (to send your confirmation), our text-message provider (to reach you about your device), and the ad platforms described above. Every one of them is a service we hire, not a buyer of your data. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Quote and repair records are kept as part of our normal business records. Anonymous website usage data is kept for a rolling window and used only in aggregate.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
